Terms of Service
Effective date: February 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ReceiptMatrix macOS application ("ReceiptMatrix," "app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Scope
You may use ReceiptMatrix only as permitted by applicable law and these Terms. These Terms apply to the app and related support communications.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ReceiptMatrix on Apple devices you control, in accordance with Apple's platform terms.
3. Subscription and Billing
ReceiptMatrix offers free and paid subscription features.
- Paid features are provided through Apple In-App Purchase using StoreKit 2.
- Billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment method management are handled by Apple under your Apple account terms.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
ReceiptMatrix uses Apple-provided transaction and entitlement state to determine subscription access.
4. Features and Availability
Feature availability may depend on your subscription status and current app version.
Automation features are intended to run while the app is running (including when minimized or inactive), subject to user settings, permissions, and system behavior.
ReceiptMatrix may modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time.
5. Your Data and Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- The receipt files you import, store, and export.
- Reviewing extracted fields before financial, tax, or accounting use.
- Maintaining your own backups and retention policies.
OCR and automated extraction may produce errors. ReceiptMatrix is an organizational tool and not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use ReceiptMatrix for unlawful activity.
- Reverse engineer, modify, or attempt to bypass technical restrictions, except where applicable law permits.
- Interfere with app operation or misuse support channels.
7. Privacy
Use of ReceiptMatrix is also governed by the ReceiptMatrix Privacy Policy.
8. No Warranty
ReceiptMatrix is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReceiptMatrix and its developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising from use of the app.
Where liability cannot be fully disclaimed, total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for ReceiptMatrix subscriptions during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. You may stop using ReceiptMatrix at any time. Access to paid features may end when subscription entitlement is no longer active.
11. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. Updated Terms take effect when published with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
